Happy Thanksgiving, Johnson City!

Happy Thanksgiving, Johnson City!

happy thanksgivingWe are all blessed with untold daily riches: family and friends, the beauty of the Tennessee mountains, and the opportunity to take a break from the day-to-day and enjoy a home cooked holiday meal. We know we’re not the only ones looking forward to a long weekend of cooking and eating, exploring, and relaxing on the couch with our favorite people and a football game.

Dr. Brantner and his staff would like to thank you for adding their daily blessings. We are grateful for each and every patient who allows us to share our expertise, who gives us homemade treasures, and who greets us with a smile. We hope that we are able to bless you in the same way that you have blessed us: with a kind word, a welcoming smile, and with an extra boost of confidence to help you face the day.

Happy Thanksgiving, Johnson City, from all of us at Jim Brantner MD, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

When the Doctor Is Away . . .

When the Doctor Is Away . . .

airplane in flightWe must have been munching apples at the office, because the doctor is away until October 27th. Dr. Brantner and his family are off exploring the wonders of the European world for his youngest daughter’s senior field trip. But just because we’re not visiting the Colosseum or the Eiffel Tower doesn’t mean we’re twiddling our thumbs. If you need information about a cosmetic procedure, have questions about follow-up appointments, or would like to schedule a surgical consultation, Dr. Brantner’s staff will be available.

Book a Procedure

Dr. Brantner may be away, but his fall schedule just opened up! Use the next week to plan, research, and compile questions about your cosmetic procedure. Book a non-surgical rejuvenation procedure like Botox for a subtle, youthful glow for the holidays. Have vacation time that expires in December? Ask Dr. Brantner’s staff about that facelift, breast augmentation, or tummy tuck that’s been on your Christmas list for years. Planning a vacation? Make sure you ask Dr. Brantner’s surgery coordinator how far in advance to book your surgery to make sure you’re fully recovered for your travels. The surgeon will be back in just a few days to meet with patients and answer any questions about the cost, recovery, and results of cosmetic surgery. If we know Dr. Brantner, he’ll bring along a healthy supply of souvenirs and stories from his time abroad! Look for photos from his trip on our Facebook page and call today to schedule your cosmetic surgery consultation. photo from flickr

What to Expect from a Visit to Dr. Brantner

Dr. Brantner’s office may be in a new location with a new phone number, but he has the same skilled staff and family-friendly atmosphere as always. Here’s what to expect when you arrive for a consultation with Dr. Brantner.

Where Are We Located?

Cosmetic Surgery Office, Johnson CityEarlier this summer, we moved a few miles down the road into a bigger office. If you’re coming from our old office on MedTech Parkway, you can find us by turning right onto Knob Creek and then turning right onto Sunset. Our new address is 1303 Sunset Drive Suite 5. Dr. Brantner sees patients in his office on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am-4pm.

If you’re having trouble finding our new office, give us a call at (423) 328-9000.

Checking In

When you arrive at Dr. Brantner’s office, you’ll be greeted at the front reception desk. You’re welcome to fill out your paperwork beforehand and bring it to your appointment, or you can fill out the forms while you wait for your appointment. Dr. Brantner and his staff work hard to stay on schedule so each patient can be seen on time. Please have your paperwork, ID, and any additional information ready before you arrive, or arrive 15-20 minutes early to complete the intake process.

Your Cosmetic Surgery Consultation

Before performing any procedure, Dr. Brantner will meet with you to determine the best treatment available and discuss your individual needs. The nurse will take you from the waiting room to an exam room, where she will confirm your medical history. Dr. Brantner will then arrive for the evaluation. You should feel comfortable asking Dr. Brantner any questions you may have about the procedure, the recovery, and the look you want to achieve.

After Visiting Our Office

If you and Dr. Brantner have decided a procedure is in your best interest, you will be directed to our surgery coordinator. She will schedule your procedure, discuss cost and insurance, and discuss any pre-surgical testing that needs to be done. Many of Dr. Brantner’s minor procedures are performed in-office. If the surgery is schedule for ETASC or another surgical facility, you will make an appointment to sign consent forms, receive pre-surgical instructions, and schedule any lab work or pre-admission testing.

If you have any questions about your visit to Jim N Brantner MD: Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, please call our office.

We’re Moving!

We’re Moving!

plastic surgery office relocationOver the weekend, Dr. Branter and his staff will be packing up the surgical equipment and heading to a new location. Our new address is located on Sunset Drive just off of Roan Street, making it an easy commute for anyone in town or traveling on I-26. The new building is spacious and professional, allowing us to better attend to the needs of our patients. We’re only moving a few miles down the road, so it will remain convenient for patients to reach ETASC and MedTech Parkway from our new location.

Office Schedule

To make this move as efficient as possible, Dr. Brantner’s staff will be setting up his new office and procedure rooms over the weekend. While we transition to our new office, Dr. Brantner will be attending a medical conference in Orlando, FL. Patients will be able to schedule cosmetic surgery consultations and post-operative appointments during normal office hours just as they would any other week. Dr. Brantner will begin seeing patients again on May 19th in his new office. Our office hours will remain 8am-5pm Monday-Thursday.

What Moving Means for Our Patients

We’re making this transition as fast and seamless as possible for our patients. You’ll experience the same efficient check-in, knowledgeable staff, and smiling faces at our new office that you’ve come to expect from Dr. Brantner and his team. Our new office means more space and a better layout, allowing us to give you more privacy and better service. If you have any questions about our new location, speak to one of the staff members at Dr. Brantner’s office.

The Doctor Is Out

The Doctor Is Out

Dr. Brantner is out of the office this week, enjoying a vacation with his family. As you plan your own spring trips, consider which facial rejuvenation and body contouring procedures will help you look and feel your best for your vacation.

Non-Surgical Procedures

Facial Rejuvination

Our skin rejuvenation and hair removal procedures require limited commitment and next to no downtime. If you want a healthy glow for the beach, consider one of our minimally invasive treatments:

  • Injectable Fillers. Juvaderm fills creases, wrinkles, and fine lines around the mouth and neck. Unlike facelifts and other surgical wrinkle solutions, Juvaderm fillers are not permanent. The effects generally last about one year.
  • Chemical Peels. Chemical peels smooth the skin, reduce blemishes, and minimize fine lines and wrinkles on the face and neck. TCA Peels and Glycolic Acid Peels rejuvenate the skin, even skin tone, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Microdermabrasion exfoliates the face and neck, removing dead skin to produce a youthful, healthy glow.
  • Laser Treatments. Laser technology simplifies permanent hair removal, comfortably treating hair follicles quickly and safely. Dr. Brantner also offers laser vein treatments, which effectively reduce or eliminate spider veins. Laser treatments provide quick, lasting results with minimal discomfort.

Plan Your Cosmetic Procedure

Dr Brantner may be away this week, but his knowledgeable staff is available during normal business hours to share information and answer questions about cosmetic procedures. We want to help you look your best on your schedule. If you’re considering a surgical or non-surgical cosmetic procedure, call Dr. Brantner’s office. We’ll schedule a consultation at your earliest convenience.
